A winter jacket, for example, is not a single object. It is an assembly of 15 to 20 different components. When fabric arrives at a cut and sew factory, the roll is laid on a table and cut into thousands of individual panels. At that moment, the Roll ID holding the certification is destroyed and replaced by bundles of cut pieces. That marker must then be linked to the specific Bundle ID that travels through sewing and finishing.
